Smooth Docking Operation

Unlike other disposable systems available today, docking and undocking the EasyCage is smooth and easy both sliding in and sliding out. Not only does the EasyCage improve staff ergonomics, it also improves animal well-being with less vibration (a proven stress inducer) when manipulating cages. And, the NexGen cage docking and locking indicator ensures appropriate docking of the cages with the air supply and exhaust ports every time, which is essential to any system designed to support the well being of your research animals.

Animal Welfare Benefits

12 Million Rodents can't be wrong. For over 20 years the Allentown IVC design has been proven through user testimonials and many studies to be the benchmark for controlled micro and macro-environmental conditions in a rodent housing IVC system. As with all of our IVCs, the EasyCage employs Allentown's industry-leading Air at the Cage Level airflow system, which produces lower levels of pressure and ammonia, promotes higher oxygen levels within the cage, reduces leaks and energy consumption, and contributes to positive animal welfare.

ACL - Air at the Cage Level

Low velocity, low-pressure airflow provides less ammonia, higher oxygen levels, reduced leak potential and substantially reduced energy consumption. ACL works with the laws of nature - not against them - to exhaust the heated, dirty air at the top of the cage while providing clean, HEPA filtered air to the bottom of the cage. The natural flow of supply and exhaust allows for less air to be utilized (50 air changes per hour), reducing overall airflow and adding to the energy efficiency of the ACL system.
